Papum Privacy Policy This Privacy Policy explains how Papum ("we", "us", "our") handles information across the Papum platform - both for the venues who run their stores on Papum, and for customers who order from those stores. Who this applies to Papum is a multi-tenant ordering and loyalty platform used by independent venues (restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and similar businesses - "venues") to run their own online stores. Each venue also publishes its own Privacy Policy for its store, linked from that store's page - this document covers Papum itself, as the platform. Venue accounts When a venue joins Papum, we hold their account information (name, email, and business details such as store name, address, and country) in order to provide the platform to them, communicate with them, and process billing for their subscription where applicable. Customer order data When you place an order with a venue through Papum, the venue collects your name, phone number, delivery address, and order details at checkout. Papum processes this information strictly on behalf of the venue you ordered from, to provide the ordering platform - Papum is not the owner of this data and does not use it for its own purposes, such as marketing. It is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil orders and meet legal obligations, and deleted on request unless we or the venue are required to keep it for a legal reason. WhatsApp handoff Some venues use WhatsApp to confirm orders or communicate with customers directly. Once a conversation is handed off to WhatsApp, that conversation happens between you and the venue on WhatsApp's own platform - Papum does not see or store the content of those messages. Loyalty wallet If you join a venue's loyalty programme via Papum Wallet, we store a wallet identifier and your stamp/reward history for that programme. Your wallet is not tied to a name, email, or phone number unless you choose to add a recovery email. Cookies and sessions Papum uses cookies/local storage to keep you signed in (for venue staff) or to identify your wallet (for customers). Analytics on Papum's own pages On Papum's own pages only (papum.ismyapp.com - never on an individual store's storefront), we use Microsoft Clarity, a session-analytics tool, to understand how visitors use Papum and improve the platform. Clarity may record mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling, and sets its own cookies for this purpose - it only runs after you accept our cookie banner, and you can decline it.
